B17 being worked on in NZ by Avspecs.

in book news... George just let me know about this, 50 Years of the Corvette Grand Sport. He's mentioned in it! As soon as he sends me a scan of that page I'll post it!

there will be better banners!

It took a couple hours yesterday, but I finally finished formatting the 100 + photos I've saved for banners... maybe 20-30 of them are outstanding banners... but the bunch I'd been working from, I'd went through all the great stuff weeks ago.

some banners are photographically cool, some are just simply vehicular and shaped the right way, and some are downright intriguing.

But the number of great ones is less than a quarter of all the ones I post. That's why at the end of the year I do a best of.

interesting 31 Cadillac that was one person's pride and joy, but will a buyer on Bring a Trailer think it's worth more than 10k? Thank you Doug!

the aluminum boat tail bodywork was fashioned from a World War II-era warplane engine nacelle, and the front bumper is a mini airplane propeller

I was at my rental garage, about to change my oil, and Nick drove up with his families 71 Nova... first cool old car to drive up the alley I have a rented garage in, in years.

If I recall right, he said it's been sitting for 7 years, and most of that was waiting for him to shift from sea duty to shore duty.

It's the first time he's driven it over here to where he lives, and he's going to look for a garage for rent to get it off the street

I took an hour today to enjoy the weekend with Calvin and Hobbes for about 40 pages

if you've enjoyed the Lawson Wood art I've posted in the past, here's a video that focuses on his art in a biographical time line
