The Bomber Cafe at 849 Fourth Avenue paid appropriate tribute to the B-24 bomber built at San Diego's Consolidated Vultee Aircraft plant

back in the 1950s, in the prime years of soap box derbys, San Diego's used to be held on Valeta St, in Pt Loma. Huh... I went to one about a decade ago that was in Golden Hills.

City Chevy had a couple locations in San Diego

the longest non-commercial production car ever built in the US.

the 1973 Imperial was 19.6 feet, 235 inches long, which made it the longest postwar (non-limousine) production car and the third longest production car ever, 4" longer than the 74-76 Pontiac Grand Safari station wagon!

Jeremy Renner is selling more than 100 vehicles (collected for the tv show Rennervations on Disney+, and are now surplus) including firetrucks, school buses and motor homes in an online auction that runs through Sept 5.

The vehicles were collected and stored in Reno for the Disney+ reality show "Rennervations," that starred the "Avengers" actor.

Disney and Renner’s publicist have not responded to questions from the Reno Gazette Journal to comment on if “Rennervations” was not renewed for another season and if that is why the vehicles are for sale.

The online auction, hosted by Thomas Hayward Auctioneers, runs through Sept. 5. Bidders can access the auction and view the inventory at ThomasHaywardAuctioneers.com

"Many of the vehicles were acquired from government auctions with the idea of repurposing them. The hope is that others will see the possibilities like the show Rennervations did and continue to give them new life beyond their original purpose."

The actor is selling just about every big toy you can think of including an ambulance, 38-foot boat, motorcycles, semitrucks, fire trucks, bobcats, and a street sweeper.

that's a shame, it was a good show (but obviously didn't get the ratings that Disney hoped for) but couldn't get renewed

“The air coming out of the exhaust ... provides thrust to the vehicle, that's how fast it's coming out.” (the new Corvette ZR1)

The twin-turbo LT7 is rated at 1,064 horsepower at 7,000 rpm and 828 pound-feet of torque at 6,000 rpm.

It's a flat-plane crank DOHC based on the 5.5L LT6 in the C8 Z06. Performance specs include a quarter mile time under the 10-second mark and a top speed around 215 mph.
