Let the shaming begin! Lafayette Police Dept has an asshole among them that parked the cruiser at IHOP in the disabled parking (and probably was eating more than donuts)

When the zoo has a sense of humor, a signmaker, and some construction - all at the same time

Driven 20 miles like this... people are too stupid to air it up, but they can still legally drive (without a brain) so be safe out there, and remember... you're sharing the road with morons, idiots, drunks, and texting people

Shotgun damage

All it has to do is fit, and you can take it anywhere, not have to worry about it getting stolen from your yard... and you can pack a lot of picnic or camping stuff in the van with it and make a great weekend happen

The GT 350H that was in the Tom Cruise movie "War Of The Worlds", one of the 1,001 Hertz rentals, one of only 100 to be distributed to the New York area

an AMX flaming hood decal I haven't seen before, from the 2017 AMC Kenosha Homecoming

they should all have this warning and testing sign

Panhard "Razor Blade" 1926

18 yr old + Corvette = crash..... that's the way the math works everywhere on this planet. I call it the crash constant, or C squared. It's a math thing. When it's a Mustang leaving a car show, it's the MC squared. Or, E = MC squared. Everywhere, Mustangs Crash constantly

the 18-year-old, who doesn't have a driving licence, slam headfirst into the car's front bumper at high speed in the city of Tula, western Russia.

He then swerves towards a nearby pawnshop and slams into its steps with such force that two customers standing on them are nearly jolted off their feet.

Because of its tremendous strength under compressive forces, stone can bear an almost unlimited load when arranged in the form of an arch.

a long time ago, in Richmond, Virginia, this 1951 Ford was parked in an alley garage. Apparently, the owner died years ago, and his car was hidden and forgotten, until the recent storm knocked down the garage door

no one is exactly sure how long the car has been sitting, but judging from the garage’s condition, it’s safe to say the car has been there decades.

Since the owner’s death some years ago, both the car and the house have been abandoned.

Rich Coffey lives in New England, and mountain bikes around looking for cool old railroad stuff, old tracks made into trials, stations made into stores, and this educational piece made out of styrofoam and the rear simulates the remnants of an explosion.

and old railroad ties showing where a railway used to be, but is now part of a driveway to someones farm

he even researches where old railways were GOING to be, but never completed, and finds the old right of way, now just a smooth way through the woods, neglected and abandoned

Fascinating blog about train stuff by a guy who is focused on local railroad history (aren't we all!)

The Merritt Parkway has 69 unique bridges in 37 miles, all designed to add to the beauty of their natural surroundings, and in a variety pf architectural styles including Art Deco, Moderne, French Renaissance, Gothic, Neoclassicism, and Rustic.

At the time of the Merritt Parkway’s construction each bridge was designed in a unique fashion and no two bridges on the parkway looked alike.

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, it is still one of a handful of scenic highways in the nation: No commercial vehicles are allowed on the road, which transports motorists through verdant scenery from entrance to exit.

The Merritt Parkway has no lights, it was built in the Great Depression, from 1934 to 1940.

The team responsible for this civic gem included the landscape architect Weld Thayer Chase who designed it as a “road in the park.”

A parkway consciously designed to take advantage of the winding nature of the landscape, not just blast through the creeks and outcroppings and other classic features of New England’s natural world.
