The Fiat AS.6 24-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine for the Schneider Trophy seaplane races in 1931was able to roar again after more than 80 years of silence, and 5500 hours of work to get it running again

Looks like the front V12 operates in opposite direction of the back V12

  1. Just for a comparison the Vietnam era UH-1 Bell helicopter used about a gallon per hour of JP-5. The big Sikorsky S-64 Skycrane uses 500 gallons of JP-5 jet fuel per hour. Ouch!
