I've heard SO MUCH about the new book series Dungeon Crawler Carl... and spotted this, the 8th book in the series, cover.... looks interesting!

 As chaos and mass panic spread outside the dungeon in the wake of Faction Wars, Carl and Donut find themselves on the tenth floor, where they’re forced to compete in a surprisingly normal set of tasks. Well, normal for the dungeon.

Races. Get from point A to point B, and don’t come in last. After each race, they pick an upgrade for their vehicle and the track gets more challenging. It all seems a little too normal, a little too simple.

The International Brotherhood of Teamsters joins Teamsters Canada and the Teamsters Canada Rail Conference (TCRC) in calling on Canadian National Railway (CN) to immediately stop operating trains through active wildfire zones and put the safety of Teamsters Canada rail members first.

A recent viral video on social media shows a CN freight train engulfed in flames while traveling through an active wildfire in Northern Ontario. The train was operated by Teamsters Canada Rail Conference members, whose quick thinking and professionalism ensured that no one was injured. But those workers should never have been put in that position. CN should never be sending train crews into such dangerous conditions.

The Cisitalia Grand Prix, a single-seater car for the postwar 1.5-litre supercharged Grand Prix class, built by Italian sports car manufacturer Cisitalia and introduced in 1949.

In the end of WW II, Pietro “Piero” Dusio founded a company called Compagnia Industriale Sportiva Italia, CISItalia in short, with the future plan to start the series production of racing and sports cars.

At the same time there was one Austrian-born former racer and self-taught engineer Karl Abarth living in Italy who wanted to work with racing machines as the war was over. He contacted Ferry Porsche. Abarth knew the Porsche family through his wife who used to be the secretary to Anton Piëch (husband of Ferdinand Porsche’s daughter and Ferry’s sister Louise). In Italy, Karl Abarth had became Carlo Abarth – a name every auto enthusiast knows. In the end of September 1946, Abarth became Porsche engineering company’s representative in Italy.

Comic Con 2026 is over, and I found some good stuff to post, but it's less vehicle related than my typical daily variety

I would ordinarily post more, but I haven't gotten much sleep lately, and I'm wiped out, and need to get more than the last couple of weeks of 6 hours or less per night. 

During comic con, nightly sleep varied from 6 hours on Tuesday, 4 on Wednesday, 2 on Thursday, and 2.5 on Friday. Saturday I got about 10 to catch up some on the lost sleep... I felt better, but still a bit groggy

On average, Tuesday night to Friday night, I got about 3.6 hours a night

So, Saturday in Hall H, about a minute before Apple released this to the world on Youtube, we got to see it first... as if that matters. Matchbox the Movie, has a good cast, and looks like a FUN movie, being released on Apple streaming on October 9th

the 100 ton Wrecking Crane... 1907 steam powered... I didn't know they had to clamp the side opposite of the load, to the rails under the crane. Makes perfect sense.
