I just learned of (and just met at Comic Con) the artist and Renaissance man who once worked at Petersen publishing on CAR-toons in the early 70s, and just recently made a full collection of his CAR-toons work

What a great explanation for the Sphinx!

I bought my copy for 35 bucks I think it was... and wow, it's like a 70s time machine!
I recommend it for the Hogg In Oz spoof, and the History of the Car, parts 1, 2 and 3. The cartoon spoof on spaghetti westerns is pretty cool too.

read this interview... https://comicbookhistorians.com/william-stout-illustrator-and-creative-architect-with-alex-jim  I had no idea William Stout got Grace Jones into the Conan movie

There's never been a "making of" book on Lilo and Stitch, until now... and it's quite cool, and explains how the most unique animated Disney movie came to be

and how one scene was changed because of 9-11

The Oroville Police Department recovered 192 stolen Hot Wheels valued at over $1,500.

It's 1927 and Prohibition is the law of the land. The night shifts are never dull... and it's been animated very well and named - Lackadaisy

The anthropomorphic cats gangster-influenced Lackadaisy is centering around the 1920s St. Louis, following the adventures of a group of bootleggers working for a club at the height of prohibition.

Lackadaisy has already crowd-funded enough of a budget to produce a five-episode mini-series and some shorts.

The varied cast of characters each brings unique edges to the classic Prohibition setting, fleshing out a typically gritty drama with a playful (but dangerous) sense of fun. It's a very character-driven series, with a blend of dramatic beats and surprising comedy filtered through the classic dangers of the gangster genre.

Car insurance rates in Minnesota jumped 55 percent over the last year, a dramatic hike higher than those in every other state, nearly twice the national average

Clarkson, Hammond and May’s 2006 local radio takeover was only ever a short segment on Top Gear, but an absolute hero has uploaded the full three-hour show to YouTube

someone got AI to spit out a Muppets version of Mad Max Fury Road

James May just visited Leno's garage

it's been 22 years of Clarkson, Hammond, and May... but they are all moving onto other things, so this is the farewell episode coming next month, for the Grand Tour/Top Gear originals

lol, do you realize how rare it is for me to find something about a Lagonda to post?

someone brought a Rohr to Pebble beach, it's the first one I've seen photographed in this century. 1932 Röhr 8 Type F Streamliner

This car, which took third in its class at Pebble Beach, was initially displayed at the 1932 Berlin Auto Show.

Nancy Strong with her "preservation" 1915 Packard 2-38 Special Runabout, which was an Indy 500 pace car... it went 90 years without running... then was brought back to life for for car shows, and Monterey

This car’s original owner was Carl Fisher, a Packard dealer who was also the driving force behind building the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. It’s also the earliest Indy 500 pace car still around
