That was a weird show for sure. Never watched it, but I recall hearing about it once.
One of our local classic TV show channels has been doing a Monkees marathon, in honor of the recent passing of Michael Nesmith I assume. Last night they aired the episode where Davy Jones races the Monkeemobile against an original Cobra Coupe. Crazy to think a Cobra Coupe was once used an "extra" in a second rate TV show.
and I posted that Cobra vs Monkees race, but the video link is now dead https://justacarguy.blogspot.com/2013/10/the-crazy-60s-when-monkees-raced-shelby.html And do you remember this? https://justacarguy.blogspot.com/2017/01/a-strange-marketing-and-publicity.html
I loved this when I was a kid. It came out after a gem of a car race around the world movie starring Tony Curtis called “The Great Race”. I may try and watch it again over the holidays to see if it still stands up. Best of the season and Merry Christmas!
