To firefighters across California, the threat of tires to blow out in a fire, was essentially unheard of ... until June 14th, when Andrew Pontious, was killed while battling a front end loader fire, and a 7 foot tall tire exploded due to heat

I'm probably not the only one that remembers the cages at SEMA for inflating earthmover tires safely to prevent one from exploding... https://justacarguy.blogspot.com/2012/11/earthmover-tire-inflation-cage-proof-of.html

    1. thank you! What a tragic learning method our civilization has... until people die, we don't notice basic safety that been around a decade (notice the cage was posted over a decade ago when I learned of it) but people working on airplane tires aren't treating them cautiously enough... and firefighters weren't even aware of the explosive power of the front end loader overheating tire.
Different careers, same result. Dead guys.
I was flipping tires on n off cars/trucks and putting the on n off rims, and was with arms reach of the tires when airing them up enough to get them popped onto the bead on the rim. Everyone that's done that KNOWS how much power is held captive in a simple ordinary car tire.

    2. and car guys know how much power is in a regular car battery, and in a gallon of gas... and what a moving car will do to whatever doesn't move outta its way. Cars are just slower guided missiles
