DeleteSo what's the deal with the Mercury itself? Is it a custom built job? If it is, it's a pretty damn nice job of grafting the Mustang sport roof and trunk lid to the Cougar body. That's impressive.

DeleteI can only speculate that someone did exactly what you suspect, put a Mustang roof on a Cougar. The corner piece, to the left of the drivers side taillight? That seems to have a larger flat top area than the Quarterpanel
