San Francisco thieves are getting clever, they are stealing one vehicle, and putting plates on it stolen from another identical vehicle, and it was discovered by a woman whose license plate was stolen
That is clever. The police license plate scanners would only be looking for plates from stolen vehicles, not stolen license plates. That would take some organization to be able to find an identical car to take the plates from.
I don't remember if you posted about it, but I saw recently that people in San Francisco are parking their cars with the doors and windows open, so thieves don't try to break into them.
