it looks to be still under construction, they stripe the areas in front of where driveways are with paint so cyclist can be more aware of drivers not aware of them. (chalked areas beyond the barracades) Ask smart questions, get smart answers.
yup, this is now changed over from 3 or 4 lanes wide, to narrow lanes, and this is an added bike lane, that certainly seems to be ready for striping, but 1130 on a Monday and no workers anywhere. Typical govt outdoor road employee situation, it's going to get done someday, just not today
it used to be 3 or 4 lanes wide, with parking on both sides. Now it looks like 2 narrow lanes, and parking, with the barrier protected bike lane not yet striped for use
it also looks like bikes can still get thru (they are going more slow uphill so making that gap should be no problem, most likely there to keep cars out till its signage and striping are installed. Love your blog! keep having fun.
