Yes sir Jesse, I like that. If I could drive the Firebird every day I would, but alas, the fuel is too expensive. I have a friend who owned a P1800 "S" when he was in high school. The sports car crave was big then. I had a '57 Fairlane 500, so I didn't quite fit in, but they liked anyway.
Some legislation is being looked at in The People's Republic of New York right now. Our "illustrious" governor is looking at the "Sleeper" bill, and plans to push it through. It's a bill to make cars on the road use only their OEM exhaust. This bill might be a retro active thing too. So no more none stock exhaust.
The reason this bill is being proposed is to stop the extra loud fart cans the tuners put on their cars, and drive down populated neighbor hoods at 2 a.m. waking up people with obnoxious noise. Now I can't blame the law makers for wanting to put that to an end, because honestly, there's no need for that kind of stuff. But then this law could reach out to the other guys who just want a decent sound coming from their machines.
