Cobra was bought new by Dr. Keith Garner with racing in mind. It's a J code shaker 429 Super Cobra Jet backed by the C6 automatic and V code 3.91 Drag Pack inch rear.
My best friend in High School had a Fastback Torino, with the shaker scoop and factory tach, and a Boss 351 from a wrecked mustang, he wrecked it in 1984 and its been sitting behind his barn ever since. got a tree growing through next to the engine now.
oh wowwww! My uncle had a fastback Torino he got from Grandpa, and after his time in high school, and his grandpa dying in 68, the Torino sat at the bottom of Grandma's drive way, my whole childhood. But, in 11th grade, my classmate / nearly a cousin, as his sister married my cousin, he bought that Torino, fixed it up, and immediately had the coolest car in High School.... candy Brandywine paint. He took it to a concert after winning a football game, he was on the team, and the rival high school foot ball team jocks keyed it. That was the last I ever saw or heard of that Torino. I guess your friend is never going to fix that, or sell it huh? Damn shame
