Is it the lack of words?
Is it the pure photography, boiled down from about 400 banners to just the ones that really popped?
And which of the ones in this collection, are the ones you would delete to improve the over all impression of excellence? I deleted 4 after I'd made this.

thank you, but this was the annual, the monthly was a couple days ago. This post is for my favorites of the whole year, and I'm damn glad it doesn't take as long as the best of the 1st decade did... that took a ridiculous amount of time to locate and look through the first 10 years of posts, because they didn't invent tags to bookmark posts for the fist half dozen years or so
