this is something odd, the seats in this Graham Paige are not the normal full width back seat, and two similar front seats. This is an ‘Opera Coupe’, fixed driver’s seat with a storage compartment behind it, a folding passenger seat and a 2/3rd rear seat for a lady in chic clothing.
Of the six LeBaron-style bodies built by Briggs, few had this configuration.
thanks Doug!

The 1974 Cadillac had a big variety of frou frou named upholstery... I hadn't realized before why Caddy's were so popular with the rich and mobster. Now I get why their interiors were, if not the mediocre engine ratings
there was the regular leather
and they called this, Mimosa
this was Maharaja cloth
this was Medici Crushed Velour
Morocco Matelasse
Mardi Gras Velour
Medici Shirred Crushed Velour

nice interiors... they sure were simple back in the 60s
I don't know how many people look at old car upholstery and appreciate the weird cloth types and designs, but I get a kick out of them. No one makes new car with interesting seat material anymore. It's either leather, or that soft cloth stuff.
it might even be a shame to get to the point where we stop appreciating the simple old way they made car interiors.
