This causes me to think some poofter yuppie "influencer" is going to rent a Porsche, Lambo, or Ferrari and get it wrapped in a cat paw print checkerboard of black and white paw prints

I am getting such a kick out of seeing what people wrap their Tesla truck to look like... a Country Squire was unexpected!

The new issue of Hot Rod is all about the protouring autocross cars, and that incredible 73 Firebird from SEMA 2023 made the cover

check out this modern Charger Ute!

I sold the tires and rims that I replaced on my R/T... and they were bought by a Mopar van guy in the LA area... and they made a seriously nice upgraded look on his van

I just learned that Australians have a vintage hot rods on the beach racing event called Rattletrap

a dealership sold car, doing what was once the sole province of funny cars in the late 60s, a 9 second 1/4 mile

this is new but not unexpected, Richard Petty is licensing floor jacks. I'm surprised he hasn't done this before... but, the Lowe's riding lawn mower in the 70s indicates that he will sell anything

other than the paint and lettering, it's likely to be identical to any other 3 ton

Ever see an image, and then get annoyed that they don't have it in the video, at all. The video doesn't ever show that scene... and I was hoping to see some of the tunneling!

Seriously, what a damn tease... I'd LIKE to see some of the tunneling going on! But, the situation in this scene!

Some like it hot, others, well - most of us, are crazy enough to have done this without getting dared to. I slept next to warhead armed torpedos, in the torpedo room, on a sub with a nuke reactor... for years.

Young, crazy, able to adapt to really unusual circumstances, that probably describes all people under the age of 30

Blake with the help of his dad, pulled off the the coolest repair, by resurrecting his grandfather's once daily used '54 International Harvester truck (thank you Marc B!)

As a teenager, Richard Kincheloe bought the International Harvester with his mother for $50 and a hog!

It then sat neglected on his property for more than 45 years, eventually catching the eye of his grandson, Blake.

The original brake lights were non-existent, so new ones were installed, and a bathroom door latch took the place of an unsalvageable door handle mechanism.

All the while, Blake kept his project a secret from his grandad, hoping to create a moment of pure surprise.

That moment arrived when Blake and his father decided to reveal the restored truck to Richard. Driving Cannonball down the driveway for the first time in 45 years, they recorded the emotional reveal on video.

When Blake was a toddler, he thought of Cannonball as "his truck" even though it spent much of the time broken and idle. When he grew up, he initially took the truck in for new brakes. However, his plans evolved into a full restoration. Meanwhile, Grandpa Richard was kept in the dark as Blake, with the help of C&J's Classic and Muscle Cars, brought the truck back to working order.

And HOW long has it been since I posted about an IH truck? A LONG time
