Rise Of The Pink Ladies documents the formation of the high school girl greaser group, and their efforts to carve out a place for themselves at Rydell High and promote inclusivity among the student body, and get one of their own elected to student council president instead of letting her ex-boyfriend win, all the while fighting the prejudices and clique culture which outcasts anyone the slander and rumor mill set out to maliciously destroy. You remember high school, right?
Hopefully this turns out to be have misandry than I imagine, while still pushing the viewers to be less racist and misogynist... certainly the goal of creating this show is to cater to everyone white jocks have hated and excluded from the country club life; women, nerds, geeks, gays, Jewish and blacks. Yeah, the 50s were very good ol boy club, but can a show get that across without killing itself in the process, and deliver entertainment too?
