The Crosley Hotshot was arguably the first postwar American ‘sportscar.’ Whether he owned the cars in the post is not clarified, but a bit later he did own a 1952 Super Hotshot. So it’s evident he took a liking to the car. I have to doubt though that his interest had anything to do with the cars---shall we say--- elegant design features.
