I'm no Ranchero expert, but I think the bulge on the hood is from the Ford hood scoop. Kind of looks like the Edsel hood bulge from this angle though. Also, the corner trim above the front bumper looks more Ford than Edsel. Looks like it started like as a Ranchero not an Edsel wagon to me.
it's not a ranchero hood scoop, it's too far forward, seems to be an Edsel front end on a Ranchero, as you suggested... I never heard of that before. I can't make out the script by the taillight, but it looks like Ranchero
Rear bar, side trim, hood, fenders, front bar and grille... All '58 Ranchero.
