This guy seems to have this rig ready to go, and convert his car from running off fuel, to wood gas
I can't recall the specifics off the top of my head, but they discovered "gassification" back in WW2 I think it was... But I doubt anyone had a quick conversion kit like this!
The Tampa Bay Auto Museum has a 1928 Model A built in Spain that is gassified. I've seen it running using charcoal briquettes for fuel. Great museum with alternative fuel and power as its theme. He has an exact replica of the 1770 Fardier De Cugnot, considered the very first self powered vehicle. It was driven on and off the show field at the recent Gasparilla Concour's d'Elegance.
That is one impressive museum! I hadn't heard of either the gassified A they have, or the Cugnot replica Though I'm quite aware of others, just not the ones at the Tampa museum
