The Philippine govt has a policy to crush illegally imported motorcycles, cars, and scooters... and by simulcasting the crushing of contraband vehicles on state TV, their President Rodrigo Duterte wants to make it clear... he's not going to tolerate illegally imported vehicles. What's his policy on illegal aliens?


over 100 Vespa scooters, a Harley-Davidson and and several other motorcycles and SUVs were destroyed by an excavator.

    First class idiotic. I remember when our Customs Service burn hundreds if not thousands of jeans confiscated on border from smuggling, I was just shocked. You already take it from smugglers, confiscated... they are now owned by government agency. Give them for fuck sake to the children or homeless shelters, donate to the Red Cross maybe. Don't fucking BURN THEM! The same here, you can take those scooters, take those bikes and cars, use them or give them for different organizations. You don't need to pay for them, they are almost a gift! Crack the smugglers don't fucking destroy things you confiscate, put them to good use.

    But political show must go on, for cameras, for TV...

      good point, you break smugglers by removing the desire for their contraband, not keep the demand constant by destroying supply. Take those away from the system, sell them, use the money to help the economy, the welfare system, the retirement homes, or just fix the damn roads! Make the fees cheaper! Something useful, rather than this idiocy which only adds to landfill and pollution

    During a prison riot, a female Australian Missionary was raped and murdered.

    He commented.....

    "I was angry because she was raped, that's one thing … but she was so beautiful, the mayor should have been first. What a waste."

    You asked specifically about his policy about illegal aliens: He'd probably give them the same treatment as other people he doesn't like: Death. It's not only people merely suspected of being involved with drugs that get targeted by death squads, but also undesirables like environmental activist or journalists critical of his government.

    If you were a Philippino and wrote about the local police like you write about the police in the USA, you'd very likely be dead by now. Think about it, and think about who Duterte's admirers in the US are.
