the Allis Chalmers HD 14 tractor crawler came from the factory with railroad track welded into the sides of the tracks machinery (thank you JBFRMCA!)

 

and one ended up in the river at the bottom of a Happy Valley, south of Jenkinson Lake, Ca, and was never pulled out.

  1. Happy Valley is a moniker attached to central northern Pennsylvania because during The Great Depression, the economy in that region was not affected. There is much scenery as well as low mountains and hills, and many beautiful waterfalls.

  2. this is northern california. up by placerville. look up happy valley road. we were just on that bridge last month. can't say when but the next time i'm up there i am going to keep an eye out for it.
