I bought one of the first Abarths in 2012. The little bastard has been really fun and surprisingly trouble free. I'd heard that's the exception though.
yes, I'm aware that 40% of the Fiat 500s have been returned as Lemons. I work at a new and used car dealership right now, and we steadily get a stream of 500s that are all Lemon Law returns that we buy at auction and sell on the used car lot. Darned if I know if they've got a warranty or will need more repairs, but we've sold every one we've gotten, and for a lot less than new... most are priced around 9 thou.
