California $100 billion boondoggle project for high speed trains, produced very little, and has little to nothing to show for that fortune blown on the project, except this bridge that does nothing, and took 7 years to build
here is the “Fresno River Viaduct,” high speed railway bridge after 3 years and 11 billion dollars
I grew up in Atwater CA, which is 7 miles north of Merced. Went to Fresno quite often. Speed limit was 55 on Hwy 99 back in those days. Took about an hour to make the drive. My question is. Why does anyone even need a high speed train to go less than 60 miles?
no need on a 60 mile trip... it wouldn't take much time off that trip. You'd spend 5 minutes just getting on, then 5 getting to cruising speed, probably 30 on the trip, then 5 to decelerate. So, you might save 20 minutes? But spend twice, or 3 times as much as driving.

DeleteWell what do you want for only 11 million bucks! I'm sure it's better for the greater good! California needs to bring back public tar and feathering!
