That vehicle is a wood burner, some guy in Mississippi built one back in the seventies and he was driving it down the Highway and they impounded it for not paying fuel tax
And in a case of deja vu all over again, the government of Saskatchewan is planning to implement a special tax on electric vehicles because, you guessed it, they don't pay fuel tax.
Remember when backyard biodiesel was going to be a thing? Go around to restaurants and pick up used fryer oil that no one wanted? The oil was no longer purchased, but leased by the greasy spoons, so they didn't own it. Then it died cuz the gubmint couldn't collect taxes.
I remember when some guys did it because they had crappy old Mercedes that could run on it, and gas was over 5 dollars a gallon. Neither are in effect, so no one is bothering with all that hassle of refining that fryer oil. It wasn't about taxes. If you believe it was, show some proof with a link to any news that states someone was ticketed, fined, or had their car impounded because the car was burning fryer oil instead of gas station fuel
