That is a huge collection. It's kind of sad to see it split up like this. The owner probably spent his lifetime putting it together. There are many brands of oil and gas on there that I don't recognize.
ReplyDeleteyeah, you're dead on. Did you look through the dozens of pages in the auction listing? Huge collection, and a fortune spent collecting it. Then, poof, guy dies and it's all auctioned off. This sort of thing occurs to me every time I buy a movie, book, or cool thing I find at the swap meet. Simply blowing money to own stuff I'll used once, and then store for a lifetime. Records, coins, stamps, books, tools, etc. Crazy to live this way, but it seems we are wired to covet items...
