I was at a big lawn and power equipment trade show last week, and saw that John Deere will be selling zero-turn mowers with Michelin airless "tweels". Polaris had a utility vehicle there with similar tires. I've seen video of cars driving with similar tweels, but I haven't heard of any being approved for road use.
Hey Marc, you're right, none have hit the market yet for highway use, but some have been on atvs, and some rare commercial loaders, very boutique high end display stuff that isn't really hard pressed to work for a living. I've posted the prototype tires about 6 years ago, and so far, nothing has come of it. My guess is that they can't make them corner at higher speeds without rolling over and off the rim
