I don't think I'd tow with a Vette.. the fiberglass to metal frame would possibly be at risk of damage from having a load on a trailer during acceleration or braking
I have a friend who's had a trailer hitch on many Corvette's (and on two Porsche 944's) in order to tow trail bikes and partly to annoy other Corvette owners. Never seen a problem. Not show cars, but not obviously damaged either.
