I've never heard of a Toyota Crown before

In North America, the first through fourth generations were offered from 1958 through 1972, being replaced by the Corona Mark II.[2] The Crown nameplate returned to the North American market in 2022

  1. Marketing,eh! Here in Aus. the Corona was a small four door 1500cc. unit. Early sixties and then faded out come the Corolla. The Crown was originally a four cylinder family saloon and then upgraded to a 2300cc,then 2600cc six cylinder if memory serves.Where I worked in 68-69 they had a 2300 six of a ute. Sequential twin throat carb and when you hit that,it went like a rocket.

  3. Oddly, here in Minnesota I see them (2022 MY and up)rarely but on a trip to Tucson recently I saw a dozen, leading me to believe they were more common on the West Coast where you are.
