The XB 70 Valkyrie is on the move, towed out of its display hangar temporarily for museum maintenance recently.


The six YJ93 Turbojet engines on the Valkyrie were able to produce 168,000 lbs of thrust to push the aircraft beyond Mach 3.

    One of my Huey door gunner friends in Vietnam was 1st cousins with the F-104 pilot that collided with the XB-70. Now he and my friend have left the planet. Test pilots are of a different breed!
