Ive never been to a F-1 event.
ReplyDeleteI have attended Top Fuel drags and Road Atlanta, and a few Nascar events, and Ive watched Nascar races from the pits, having to step back when the car comes in because we were leaning on the new tires that were going on the car.
Nascar isnt as snooty as F-1, the drivers and crews and fans are just normal people.
spending the weekend camping in the Infield at Talladega is , umm, quite the eye opening experience, its the polar opposite of super rich billionaires and Rolex watches. at an F-1 event. just a notch above a local dirt track race.
its unbelievable amounts of beer and friendly normal people, you just walk around and people are grilling food and total strangers invite you to come and eat. There is usually flatbed trucks with stripper poles etc, at the fall race , most of the fans are wearing Halloween costumes.
