oh I'm glad to tell you about THIS! If you remember the master carpenter and millworks shop owner (and Vietnam combat vet, 101st Airborne) in Eureka I posted about in Feb '23, well, his tv show has a new episode about restoring a historically mind blowing Higgins Boat!

this Higgins boat (landing craft) went through 7 different D days;

 Okinowa, Sicily, Tarawa, Guam, Phillipines, Saipan, and the Marshall Islands

It was found in Shasta Lake, only due to the drought lowering the water reservoir until there was basically no water, only puddles. 

The show is 44 minutes, on Max +, the HBO streaming service
