Wow! I think the first two types flew out of Aus. in WW11. I remember my dad telling how he gave same group blood,directly, to an injured US airman. It got him on a plane to Sydney,and hopefully,survival. He was crew on a badly overloade(were'nt they all?) B24 that failed to get off. N.T Australia. Respect to all that have served their country in times of need.
