yes, they were made to last, and made in the 1890-1910 era a lot... the machine age caused a hell of a lot of companies to go into business making them, so other guys could become machinists and make parts for cars, and corporations Was yours junked out? Just tore up and out of spec? Or busted?

After many rebuilds it was sold to Summit Scrap....I guess it was melted down...
