reminder to carry a fire extinguisher in your car, especially in anything more than 15 years old.
This appears to have been a fire that started behind the alternator, in the gas pump area.

an original, one-owner Rallye Red 1970 Plymouth Hemi ’Cuda that had been stored since 1976
In 1976, engine noises caused him to buy a cam, and remove the valve covers, and it's likely he then discovered he'd have to pull the engine to replace the cam, so, that simply stopped all progress. He did died in 2011.

Magnante found a 53 Coronet with a 241" baby hemi in a Massachusetts junkyard...
the middle of the hood was designed as a functional cold air scoop, the V is in the middle of the scoop, it’s the forerunner of the shaker or air grabber hood found in later Mopar muscle cars.
skip the first two minutes unless you really need to hear what a hemi is, for the 14 millionth time, IK swear people who make videos are padding the time with useless filler for some monetary reason

the rarest hemi cars, are the two 1970 Dodge Coronet R/T convertibles and the two 1966 Dodge Coronet four-door sedans. All four cars survive today. Plus there was a 5th that Hagerty didn't learn about, but I already posted about

the 5th was ordered by a service station owner. He didn't wait for delivery, he went and picked it up at the factory... he must have realized that the guys doing delivery and receipt at the dealership would lead foot test his car.
