Car Craft magazine gave the LA Roadsters Club a hemi Coronet convertible, and Riverside race track, to test it out


It was a hemi with 727 auto, and 3.23 gears, and ran 14.1 seconds at 98 mph, on stock rubber. Putting Mickey Thompson cheater slicks on didn't change either of those numbers. 

Hot Rod magazine got the car later, and with Dougs headers and a change with an ignition curve kit made it a second quicker and 8mph faster

tv series, Dark Winds takes place in 1971, and has some very cool late 60s vehicles.





Because it's a tv series, with limited budget, they didn't go for accuracy, or authenticity in the right vehicles - but they sure did choose some cool vehicles
