the"Celestial Railroad" (Jupiter & Lake Worth Railway) got that nickname because of it's stops in towns named Juno, Mars, Venus, and Jupiter.

    Nathaniel Hawthorne also wrote an allegory called "The Celestial Railroad," so it wouldn't surprise me if the person naming this one got the idea from there.
