Don has two cool momentos from his childhood... the license plate from his dad's VW microbus, and it's license plate. Thank you Don! (Don has been a reader for at least 15 years!)
I also have the big VW emblem from the front of the bus. I remember my Dad removing it, and when I asked him why he said, I don't need to drive around with a big advertisement for VW.
Lol, I feel the same way! It would please me more to not have the car makers badges on my commuter. By the way, when I'm on the walk about the neighborhood, I often see cars that have had all factory identification removed, and it's usually the Asian imports. Acura, Lexus, Honda, Nissan, and those type of cars
