London-Sydney Marathon 1968 had some interesting cars, and they had some interesting mods to the hoods and lighting, and terrific kangaroo bouncers

  1. I had a Rambler station wagon that vintage. Good honest car with no extra padding in the interior. Noisy but bulletproof drive train.

  2. The 1st and 3rd cars have their exhaust pipes routed up, probably for driving through water, but I don't see any intake snorkles. The car with three hood scoops has a Maryland license plate, which is kind of odd for a race from London to Sydney. The guy who's putting on lip balm looks like he's standing in the back seat through a hole in the roof. There's a lot going on here.
