The 1st and 3rd cars have their exhaust pipes routed up, probably for driving through water, but I don't see any intake snorkles. The car with three hood scoops has a Maryland license plate, which is kind of odd for a race from London to Sydney. The guy who's putting on lip balm looks like he's standing in the back seat through a hole in the roof. There's a lot going on here.
I had a Rambler station wagon that vintage. Good honest car with no extra padding in the interior. Noisy but bulletproof drive train.
