a Ford parts salesman in 1937 stopping into a service station, that sold Ford gasoline. I didn't even know Ford was part of a gasoline business

A parts salesman for Parkinson-Neal Motor Co., a Ford dealership in Enid, Okla., makes a sales visit to a gas station and repair facility in that state. The traveling store would visit rural repair shops to restock Ford parts needed for repairs. It is unclear whether the gas station and garage were part of Ford's "Super Service Stations" that serviced vehicles and sold gasoline, parts, accessories and new Ford cars. The Parson's Super Station does appear to sell Ford's Benzol gasoline.

had enough of sitting by the phone waiting for answers, one RV owner packed up his work setup—a folding table, laptop, and personal Wi-Fi—and brought it straight to Camping World. Day after day, he set up inside the dealership’s service area, determined not to be ignored.

He brought the rig in to Camping World for repairs, and didn’t hear anything back for 4 months while he waited for a simple repair

updates were scarce until October, when staff told him the delay was caused by unavailable parts—and then another setback when the replacements arrived in the wrong color. 

"I decided to just come in, make my presence known and make sure that they didn’t forget that my RV had pending work and it’s about time to wrap it up.”

After his story gained attention, Camping World contacted him with an update. The dealership reinstalled the original parts, and he can go elsewhere for the correct replacements.

The experience was enough to change his mind about where he’ll take his RV in the future. “You can pull all the publicity stunts you want but unless you take care of your customers, they’re not going to be coming back,” he said. “I’m going to go to a different dealer and I’m going to drive far away even though I live in Greenville to go see someone else from here on out.”

Yes, it's definitely inspired by the VW trailer we've all seen on the tv commercial, it's great to see someone make a new one! 

a property owner in southwest Denver had been using Airbnb to rent out trailers and RVs parked on his many properties to homeless. That must be against all the rules the rich people who own homes have made, they struck back

 

city authorities were alerted and began investigating. 

Denver's Department of Excise and Licenses hit Dickson with six notices of zoning violations, saying that his trailers did not have rental licenses. 

The Community Planning and Development Department followed up by issuing Dickson three "cease and desist" orders, saying that mobile homes, recreational vehicles, and trailers cannot be used as accessory dwelling units.

Evidently, someone hates the homeless getting a place to rent. They went to the right govt departments to get this guy one step away from being arrested, for something as harmless to all the rest of the city as making inexpensive places for rent.

a chance meeting in the Buellton Bash Vintage Trailer Rally, at the Flying Flags RV Resort, turned out to be a meeting with the historian of a Canadian travel trailer company

As it turned out, the author's trailer reminded her of some treasured family photos she had—images of trailers built and sold by her husband’s grandfather in Toronto, Ontario, during the late 1930s.

Too many people are upset by homeless travelers getting by living on the street without a mortgage, simply living on a poverty level income.
