We have over 120 years of combined experience in the automotive racing field. We have provided service and preparation for race cars that have raced throughout the world. All this is done within the walls of our well equipped 18,000 sq. ft. race and fabrication facilities, located in the Pacific Northwest.
Motorsport Mechanic/Technician - Full Time
This position requires the highest standard of quality and safety mindedness. Will be working in a vintage race car prep/race shop. Must have racing history and a wide knowledge of all mechanical aspects of the individual vehicle. Must understand the complexity of the different cars that will be required to work on.
$37,000 a year
Requirements Include:
Strong skills in Race Car Prep, Strong skills with Motec and other current Electronics
Operation of DynoJet Chassis dyno, Gearbox function/service/rebuild
Complete chassis alignment and set-up, Safety conscious
Abilities to work with tight time requirements, Ability to plan out the project from start to finish
Able to move from one project to another with ease
Able to work in a shop with others of like mind and work toward the same goal
Basic fabricating, machining, welding skills, Must have own tools

Damn... that would be cool, but I'm not years of working on cars qualified. Yeah, working on my own won't cut it... I image they would accept nothing less than someone who can walk up and build a race car, from scratch. Frankly, it doesn't pay well enough for the level of expertise they require to apply for the job, but none do. All jobs I see listed are wanting applicants to have wasted a 4 year degree to get a job any high school grad can do. That's fine, if someone else paid for your degree, and room and board.
