plans for a model airplane, just get the supplies, and good luck with a bottle of banana oil, and Amberoid, a synthetic amber. Just who the hell came up with this parts list?

for the rest, see pages 98 and 100 of  Flying magazine, 1929

The way old magazines just told kids to get ridiculously unavailable stuff, and not what they could easily substitute, is a bitch.

  1. The rubber band runs right down the top of the fuselage. It is shown in its unwound state in the "assembly" view.

    1. I noticed that too, but, that's the only hint of a rubber band, and it's not in the parts, nor the other drawings, and I find that very strange

  2. I was doing just swell until I got to "banana oil."
