Steel Footing on the Interstate Highway 35W Bridge (the one that collapsed over the river in 2007) These gear-like bearings show how the bridge could move as the temperature rose and the bridge expanded, the bridge would ride along the gears.

the Central Auto Parts store in Virginia, MN, in the 1920s and 1930s. At some point it became S&S Auto Parts. (Thank you Niki!)

as I mentioned last week... here's the clock that was a garage time clock for time cards! It's the time clock from the parts store / garage in the previous post! (Thank you Niki!)

the story of the clock is that it came from S&S auto supply out of Duluth MN.
His son (Nancy's dad) moved to Marquette and started an auto supply store there.
The time clock was given to her dad by his uncle from the S&S in Duluth to use in the Marquette store.

Here's the model T axle lazy Susan table I mentioned last week! This table came from a saloon in Jackson Hole WY strapped down on the top of an RV. Legs don't come off. There's supposed to be one in the Henry Ford museum like it (Thank you Niki!)

I'm still surprised what people drive to work...

What can you make of this? Other than more of the really weird and strange city stuff that goes on

I happened to find the NOAA office in San Diego by accident, by spotting this truck in a parking lot... and wondering what the hell the NOAA fisheries truck was doing in downtown San Diego

But they won't even put the address on their website. Seems the govt feels they have a reason to be worried about the general populace being upset about something... now, why would that be? Huh

So strange to see this Elk out in the rain in rush hour traffic!

the new (and fun to watch) Goosebumps on Disney has an '83 Hurst/Olds doing a Christine reanimating ghost thing

a couple interesting cars coming to auction... Bob Bondurant's 97 Ford Mustang Roush SVT Cobra and a Hertz Camaro, that was never rented out (no wonder Hertz is bankrupt)

Jamie Lee Curtis has a new movie coming out... Freaky Friday III.... and she's driving a sweet Camaro

Obviously, the movie people didn't bother digitally erasing the rollbar only used on the one Camaro crashed after a jump

makes me wonder, how many Camaros do you think they used in this movie?

A woman fell asleep at the wheel.... drifted off the road, crashed in a ditch where her car couldn't be seen from the road, and survived for 6 days with broken bones! Finally spotted by a guy in an excavator!

Brieonna Cassell had been trapped since Thursday night when she fell asleep at the wheel and veered off the road into a deep ditch under a bridge, according to her father

She suffered serious injuries to her legs and wrist, and her phone was dead under the passenger seat, she could hear cars going by and she screamed, but no one could see or hear her,

"She was stuck in the car and could not get out. But she was able to reach the water from the car," Her dad said. "The only way she was able to survive was using her hoodie and dipping it into the water in a ditch and sucking the water, or bringing the the water into her mouth from the ditch."
