kinda interesting to see a Monte SS Aerocoupe at SEMA, but even more interesting, was the old military decal they left on the windshield

I was really surprised to find this Monte Carlo in the mall parking lot... trunk mounted battery cut out, street slicks on the back, and hood pins. But covered in dust like it's been neglected for weeks.

I just learned that while filming the movie Training Day, the Monte Carlo was stolen AND returned in under 24 hours

 One day while filming, the vehicle vanished from set.

"It was back, I think, within 24 hours polished and cleaned, by the way," Fuqua recalled. "Those guys down there said, 'Don't worry about it. We got it.' It was back in the exact same spot they stole it from, too."

Fuqua also mentioned they had "a lot of support" from the local community when making the movie, including various gang members.

"We got Latino gangs, the Bloods, the Crips, really open arms to come into these areas and film with all their support," the filmmaker said. "They were really excited about it."
