police have lost any respect they ever had for the oath, the job, the badge, or the American concept of "law enforcement" and the legal limits on the authorized "Use of Lethal Force" the federal Dept of Justice is required to enforce

Here's the important facts about Randal Worcester's arrest and assault:

"the video raises red flags about the officers’ actions... ... ...  blows to the head amount to a potentially deadly use of force that’s justified only when someone poses a current and serious threat"

Former Crawford County sheriff’s deputies Zack King and Levi White are charged with using excessive force by hitting Randal Worcester multiple times while he was on the ground during an Aug. 21 arrest.

But he lived.

Tyre Nichols was tazed and beaten to death by 5 or more police officers, who used a stun gun, a baton and their fists, while Nichols was held down by police.

Officer Preston Hemphill is heard saying on body camera footage from the initial stop, that he stunned (tazed) Nichols and declared, “I hope they stomp his ass.”

Here's the link to the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rWEELY-II8k

The police beat him like he was a pinata, and there were thousand dollar bills inside him if they could beat him enough. With no reason, cause, or purpose. There was no legal justification. They set out to kill him, and kept trying.

One cop tried using his head like he was kicking a field goal, while 2 cops held him down

here's the thing that sticks with me, none of these police felt what any of them were doing was wrong,

None of them realize they are involved in the crimes, they they have a job to prevent, and wear a uniform in order to stop people from committing crime, even cops. None of them do shit to stop cops committing crimes until it's national news, only then do their police chiefs put them on admin leave, or turn them over to the US Marshals and FBI.

The first cop to step up, and stand up for the ordinary people, and force the other cops to quit killing them? Will be the first to say 'stop'

There were 5 cops killing Nichols. There were 4 standing around George Floyd while one killed him.

That what bullying with a badge looks like.

update:

Guillermo Medina was off his meds, unarmed, unarmed and posed no imminent threat of death or bodily harm to anyone when he was gunned down Dec. 18 of 2022. Officers also gave him no commands before he was shot, and they knew he was experiencing a mental health crisis, because his wife had called 911, and requested police to her home to settle him down... she told them he was unarmed, off his meds, and having a mental meltdown.

In the news on Jan 31st, Huntington Beach PD shot a double amputee who was trying to run away, on his stumps, they shot him in the back, and kept shooting until he was dead.  https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11697109/Huntington-Park-cops-shoot-dead-double-amputee-Anthony-Lowe-Jr-tries-run.html

a google search can turn up other examples of police shooting and killing men that are unarmed, and running away from police: https://www.reuters.com/world/us/ohio-police-officers-shot-fleeing-black-man-dozens-times-lawyer-says-2022-07-02/

In addition to Tyre Nichols, whose beating death prompted nationwide protests, at least half a dozen identified, unarmed people have been killed by police in 2023

  1. The Tyre Nichols beating has to be one of the worst cases of police brutality I've heard of. How bad are these officers if it takes 5 of them to subdue one skinny unarmed man. And if he was unarmed, and they had possession of his car, they could have let him run away and caught him later. They must have known that the pole-mounted camera was recording and were either too arrogant or dumb to not let that stop them from beating Nichols.

From what I've heard, Memphis lowered their hiring standards, so they were hiring officers that had criminal records and at least some of these men had previous bad behavior. It sounds like the whole department and city government need to be cleaned out.

I was reading comments on an article about this beating and how the officers were giving Nichols different and conflicting orders when he was on the ground already. I couldn't believe how many people were saying "He should have complied and not run" or similar words.
