does the grocery store pay someone to file flat spots onto one wheel, just to piss me off?

one of these damn days I'm going to bring the wrench set, grab a couple shopping carts in the parking lot, and FIX just one with a good wheel off one cart, to fix another, and have a sweet set of 4 good wheels for ONE shopping moment.

  1. Years ago I picked up one with a squeaky wheel. I went to the aisle that has a limited supply of home repair items, grabbed a can of WD-40 and lubed the wheels! Flat spots are great - everyone hears you coming down the aisle!

  2. I try to pick a cart that has shiny threads and nuts on the casters, which means that they have been replaced at some point. Those carts usually run pretty smoothly.

I haven't seen a shopping cart wheel like the one in the picture, with the screws around the perimeter. I'm used to seeing solid wheels.

  3. they end up like that because when they wrangle up the carts and put them in a long ass train they have to drag them sideways to get them back to the store and that is what makes the flat spots. it bugs the hell out me of as well.

    1. OH HELL! You know! Well, damn. How did I miss that? Thank you! Man... they wreck every damn one of these.
Lol, oh it bugs you, but I POSTED about the damn thing! HA! That's a lot of getting bugged when I post about stuff that bugs me instead of enjoying all the stuff there is in the vehicle world to get a kick out of
