this team work is so impressive... the experience and reliance on each others knowledge of the process each team mate uses to get the job done. I don't know about you, but I enjoy watching professionals do a difficult job

  1. How long must it take for a team to develop the skills and mutual trust to work that efficiently? How long would it take to introduce a new guy and bring him up to the level these guys work at? Simply amazing skill levels at work there.

  2. Years ago I had a septic tank put in by a local father-son team that worked like this, if a little smaller in scale, but similar arrangement, with father on backhoe and son in the hole. Except it was at breakneck, caffeinated speed. Fun to watch, it was like a dance. They barked at each other like enemies, but you could see the love in the way they worked together.

The father is retired now but as far as I know the son is still going, and still at manic speed. In his spare time he built a huge riding barn for his wife, rebuilds vehicles. At one point, with nothing better to do he fitted a Blazer with mini-tracks, making all the parts but the rubber tracks from scratch (good machinist too)...etc. You'd like him, I think.

  3. Looking at the crap stuck to the side of the bucket it's a good thing they're wearing hard hats.

  4. You're right Jesse. That guy on the bucket plays it like a good musician plays his instrument!
