In 1947, half of Coatesville, Indiana was obliterated by a F4 to F5 category tornado. A woman who lived in town during the tornado recalled some kind of metal auto part driven into the ash tree that stood at the end of Jim's driveway. 73 yrs later the ash has been killed off by the ash borer and the tree was felled before it comes down damaging something, or hurting someone.
Upon dropping the tree, I discovered that the auto part is in fact an oil transfer pump used on farms to transfer bulk fluids.
Thanks Jim! I'm glad your chain saw didn't hit the metal !
