we live in strange times indeed. This is how people in Lansing Michigan showed up to protest their governors stay at home edict. As of Monday, more than a quarter of the state's workforce had filed for unemployment benefits.

Several thousand cars flooded the streets around the state Capitol in Lansing, Mich., on Wednesday to protest the governor's extended stay-at-home order.

And this post isn't poltical... it's a post about an enormous gridlock. That's a lot of likeminded people who do not mind spending time stuck in traffic to make a point.

That they are fed up with government officials and politicians is interesting, that they are doing something about it, peacefully, is historic.

  1. Expect to see a lot more protest in the coming weeks as these idiot governors use the one size fits all approach. They are killing small medium and large business. Land of the Free or land by decree?

    1. The virus does not discriminate, it is one size kills all. The businesses are dying not because of stay at home, but because the Gov't is giving all the money to the rich and huge Corps

  3. There have been a lot of inconsistencies in the Michigan governor's shut down orders, and that would be understandable, if not forgivable if not for her snotty attitude and threat to keep the state shut down even longer after the protests at the capitol. Many of the governors and other officials around the country are not realizing that the compliance with their orders has been for the most part voluntary. When it stops being voluntary and is at the least unreasonable, and at the worst dangerous its time for some new people in the seats of power.

    1. I totally agree, and look at the ones doing it. This is just a practice run in their plan for America, to see what we will tolerate.

  4. The 1st that will have to go back to work are the poor, and no one cares about them. They are replaceable. That explains the temporary and inadequate relief funding available They must work or die. Well, now they might get to do both. Don't blame the source, an incompetent POTUS. Realizing that he has no power over the states to open, rev up your minions to do the bidding, forcing states to open too soon. More will die, but the rich don't care. They all work from home. And the ignorant, the undereducated, and those who blindly follow never even saw it coming.
