a couple cool little cars, in what is probably the slowest movie car chase. I also suspect few people have seen it, or remember it

  1. I really enjoyed that movie...was hoping they would make a second part or a series like they did with Mission: Impossible.

Thanks for reminding me about it, going to watch again this weekend!

    1. Hey Dino! Good to hear from you! Yup, fun movie, and really well set up for a sequel, I will guess it didn't make enough profit to get the ball rolling, and instead, Henry Cavill went and did Superman movies, and the new Netflix show, the Witcher.
I kid you not, I'm surprised I'm not living in some old folks retirement village (I'm only 48) where peace and quiet, and sharing stuff with no chance of kids destroying things, like movie blu rays - and just putting my collection (small though it is) into a movie library along with other like minded nice people who take really good care of stuff, so that no one would ever have to wait for Netflix to send the Blu Ray through the mail.

  2. A chase scene with a Trabant is worthy of a standing ovation.

  3. Funny stuff.
My wife lived in Germany for ten years, before the Wall fell.
She spent time in East Germany, and at the sight and sound of the Trabbie and Wartburg she broke up laughing. An hour later, she's still chuckling.

  4. An observation. The actor who is playing Napoleon Solo is mimicking the way Robert Vaughn (the original Man from U.N.C.L.E.) speaks and plays the character. I never saw the movie, so I'll have to see if I can find it on DVD or Netflix, or even Youtube. Would you believe it? I still have a poster from the sixties of TMFU and three other hit shows from that era I ordered from NBC.

    1. Henry Cavill, most famous for being the newest actor to play Superman, played Napolean Solo.
Wow, you've still got your posters? Dang! Good on you!
Too many had to throw away so much cool stuff from when we were teens and even in our twenties due to moving, going in the military, and not having room for stuff when we lived with women. Of course, I doubt I'd have most of my stuff hanging.... but the ones I miss the most were the color coordinated BG Goodrich ads. Damn, I know what I'm posting next! (If I can find them online)

I usually have good luck watching movies on this site https://www.123moviess.gdn/

    3. Thanks Dino. Unfortunately my AVG firewall blocked it as it says it's a high risk for computer virus. Bummer.

    4. Thanks Dino, I looked at 123 moviess, but I refuse to do downloads. I've mucked up a laptop before, and I'm not doing that again.
Jsfury, try looking at https://reelgood.com/ and see if what you'd like to watch is somewhere to watch for free, easy. I haven't used it yet, (I got bloggin to do! lol) but it seems like a superb way to see WHERE to watch anything.
Then you can tell if it's going to be free (or for rent) on the old networks like NBC, or on Roku. (I don't have one)

    5. JSfury..I use AVG free and have no issues most of the time with their popup.
Jesse...You don't need to download to watch, and I would NOT recommend doing so.

You also don't need to create an account to watch. If it asks you too, just click out of it, something goofed with the movie upload.
Just search for what you want, click on your video, then when the video player comes up, click the red start button in the middle of the video screen. Don't click the "Download" or "Stream" buttons underneath it.

Some videos don't work, or are not there, or are not in english, or ask you to create and account (really weird why it's only some). So I have a few other sites I use in these cases. One being https://wwv.solarmovie.one/

I tried pulling up "The Man From UNCLE", and it doesn't work on either of these sites Very strange and rare, but happens. Not sure why. Tried some other movies and they load just fine. Didn't ask to create account or download, just began playing. Also no AVG warning. I did get the AVG warning on 123 site but not on Solar site with UNCLE, but not with my other test movies. Must be something with that upload. I assume all these sites are pulling from just a couple places.

FYI, I usually watch on a PC running Linux connected to my TV, although I also sometimes watch on my desktop Win10 PC. Both machines I use the Firefox browser with "uBlock Origin" plugin to block any popups on their sites.
I've been using these sites for years and have never had any issues with malware or viruses. Will take a look at reelgood.com though.
